Wrapped Furniture

‘Wrapped Furniture’ started as an experiment to use perennial furniture, which makes them interesting.  It was a challenge to see if and how this old furniture could radiate a contemporary image.

Erwin wondered what would happen if, for example, a leg would be cut off and be replaced with something else. Testing these things in a playful way was important to achieve the final result. After linking the various pieces of the furniture a new object was created. This object was wrapped with tape and finished with a transparent rubber. Through this process a new unit was created.
