Hens
The Hens is a lamp inspired by the port of IJmuiden, where Studio Erwin Zwiers is located. A place filled with a constant stream of inspiring shapes, materials and constructions of ships. Based on the distinctive appearance of the chimney tubes on tugboats, the Hens was created. The lamp is a subtle homage to the craftsmanship of the welder and the robustness of maritime industrial elements.

The lamp consists of three tubes that come together in a visible weld. A LED light source is placed in each tube, with the center light source shining straight down and the light sources in the side arms being adjustable. A lamp that can be altered as desired, suitable for both private and business environments.
Hens is not only the embodiment of functionality and style, but primarily an ode to the character of the maritime environment it was inspired by.
